Château du Tertre is a 5th Cru Classé in the Margaux appellation. It is co-owned with Chateau Giscours. Du Tertre has a rather cool terroir, which benefits it in warmer years. Everything went perfect here in 2019. The wine critics are enthusiastic, some even write of the best vintage ever produced on du Tertre. The density of this vintage, combined with the freshness and precision, is fascinating. This is how you imagine an ideal Margaux.

Max Gerstel is enthusiastic about the lovable and heart-refreshing scent of the 2019 du Terte. It reminds him of the dreamful 2000 vintage, but the 19 is even more precise, refined and fine, with freshness and lightness while at the same time having enormous power and fullness. 19/20

James Suckling rates the 2019 Chateau du Tertre an incredible 95-96/100 points and writes: "A fantastic du Tertre with blackberries and blueberries. Very pure fruit character in general. Stone and tea undertones. It's full-bodied with a tight , focused tannin backbone. Excellent structure. One of the best ever from here. So precise. A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot."

Jeb Dunnuck rates the wine 92-94+/100 and describes the 2019 as the best vintage he has tasted from this winery.
