Champagne Mailly Grand Cru Brut Reserve 3l

The village of Mailly is an area classified as Grand Cru in 1920. The history of the champagne house of the same name began in this small town, which is 13 kilometers south of Reims.

However, it was initially just a cooperative of 10 winemakers with the aim of selling clear wine from the surplus harvest to other champagne houses. This surplus was a result of the economic crisis caused by the First World War. Despite the growth of the winegrowers' cooperative, the expected profits did not materialize. The marketing of the wine as champagne also failed. The 3,600 bottles produced so far only found a buyer after another 18 months without any income. The winemaker group was eventually profitable and, although unsure of future sales, reinvested the profits into continued production. The cooperative slowly developed into an authentic champagne house. The company's storage facilities were further increased by the members themselves in order to be able to store the reinvested further production and the resulting increase in production. New buildings were built and expanded. Today, around 80 employees sell and produce 500,000 bottles of Miley Champagne every year.

Champagne Mailly Grand Cru Brut Reserve is versatile and ideal as an aperitif. Unlike other sparkling wines, this unique champagne elegantly combines elements of richness and complexity, allowing it to be used as an accompaniment to an entire menu. The golden-yellow Grand Cru from Mailey Champagne Maison not only impresses visually with its reflections and perlage, it is also a treat for the nose and palate.
