Caliterra has changed its labels to reflect the winery's new path. Great value is placed on natural and sustainable cultivation, and the wines are also certified vegan. The Tributo Gran Reserva Carmenere grows on clayey soils in the Colchagua Valley, which give it an individual character. The expansion takes place 100% in barriques in second and third use, a small part of the harvest even ferments in wood. No cultured yeasts are used for fermentation; this measure also strengthens the character of Caliterra's wines.
The Carmenere Tributo has a dark ruby red color and a distinctly spicy scent, reminiscent of cloves, black pepper and licorice. On the palate it has a beautiful fullness and soft tannins, in the long-lasting finish it shows notes of cocoa and fresh tobacco. It tastes great when young, but can also be stored.
