Château Thivin has a 5.5 hectare hillside location with barren pink granite soil that produces very elegant Gamay wines. The Cru de Beaujolais Brouilly Reverdon grows here.
At Thivin, the grapes and must are moved exclusively using gravity. A very gentle and sustainable method. The Brouilly Reverdon is aged in cement tanks for seven months.
2020 was an excellent vintage for Beaujolais. You can notice the ripeness and clarity of the Reverdon, the juicy cherry fruit caresses the fine tannins, the wine is lively and fresh, as well as supple and emphatic. Adorable! Robert Parker rates the comparibly good vintage 2020 91/100.
