JanotsBos is the winery of Thierry Janots and Richard Bos, who met at wine school in Beaune and 10 years later started their project in Meursault. Janots Bos specializes in the white wines of the Côte de Beaune, which make up the lion's share of the range. Wines are bottled that are produced as naturally as possible and represent their origin. The small oak barrels traditionally used in Burgundy are used as a support, but never dominate the terroir.
The wine guide Guide Hachette regularly praises the JanotsBos wines and has repeatedly awarded the "Coup de Cœur" to the winery. In addition, there are unfortunately hardly any current ratings, the DECANTER awarded 92/100 to the Meursault 2012.
The Bourgogne Chardonnay from JanotsBos comes from the Les Pellans vineyards in Meursault and Champ Perrièrs in Puligny-Montrachet. Really noble origins for a Bourgogne AOP. It matures for eight months in used Pièces (228 l wooden barrels).
The 2020 Bourgogne Chardonnay Janots Bos shows the full depth and noblesse of its vineyards, the outstanding vintage provides strength and excitement. Aromas such as apples, citrus fruits and a hint of white pepper accompany this beautiful Burgundy to its long and well-balanced finish, in which an animating saltiness can be felt. A real benchmark for a Bourgogne AOP!
The winery particularly recommends this wine with asparagus, crustaceans, poultry, dishes with creamy butter sauces and mature Brie.
