The Bideona Rioja experience also comes in white! Old Viura vines from the Rioja Alavesa provide the grapes for this full-bodied white wine, one third of which was fermented in French oak barrels. As always with Bideona, great importance is attached to the balance, the wood supports a little but never dominates. This innovative bodega dispenses with the Crianza, Reserva & Co. to gain freedom for the terroir that Bideona values more than traditional Rioja aging aromas.
The scent of the Rioja blanco Las Parcelas is reminiscent of yellow and white fruits, and subtle floral notes are also perceptible. The taste shows fullness and substance, but is always fresh and balanced. The calcareous soils give this wine a remarkable delicacy, the altitude provides the necessary freshness. Las Parcelas blanco tastes best in the first 3-4 years after bottling.
It is best enjoyed with tapas, fish and seafood, poultry, vegetables or paella.
