The Barolo Borgogno from the Fossati vineyard has the typical orange-red color of traditionally made Baroli. An open nose with chocolate and a hint of mint. Substantial, high density, the abundant tannins are well buffered, long finish. The wine has reached its first drinking period, not least thanks to the good extract, which gives the wine a charming palate impression. Borgogno himself says: "We can classify the vintage (2015) as one of the best in recent years: the Nebbiolo grapes ripened perfectly, albeit slightly earlier than usual for recent years. Excellent quality tannins will definitely guarantee structured, elegant wines with a long cellar life. A harmonious wine."
The Fossati vineyard has been bottled separately since 2008. The wine is fermented spontaneously and stored in large traditional oak barrels for four years before being allowed to be bottled.
