2019 is one of the greatest Barolo vintages of our time. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rates the vintage with 96/100 points.
The Barolo by Borgogno is made from grapes from the Liste, Fossati, Cannubi, Cannubi San Lorenzo and San Pietro delle Viole sites, which in the best combination result in this high-quality classic from Piedmont. After 24 months of aging in traditional large wooden barrels made of Slavonian oak, it can be bottled, where it can look forward to decades of positive development.
In 2019, Borgogno conjured up a wonderfully balanced and aromatically exciting Barolo on the bottle, which in its classic design should provide decades of great drinking pleasure. Traditionally matured in large wooden barrels made of Slavonian oak, in which the tannins become wonderfully mellow over time and combine the unmistakable aroma of the Nebbiolo vine with the regional character of Piedmont.
Decanter magazine already gave the 2018 Barolo Borgogno 93/100 points, the better 2019 vintage has unfortunately not yet been rated (as of Aug. 2023).
