The Appassimento process from Italy is also finding more and more friends on the Iberian peninsula because it makes the red wines juicy and rich, which is well received by many people. The Hammeken Cellars, known for their customer-oriented winemaking and high quality, are of course also masters of this discipline, as you can see immediately from the Apanillo Apasionada Tempranillo.
This voluminous red wine from Castilla y León in northern Spain has a dark red color with violet reflections. Its scent is reminiscent of ripe blackberries and blueberries with a tendency towards dried fruits, as well as slightly nutty notes and coffee beans. The taste is an intense and fruity-juicy red wine, whose style is reminiscent of the Primitivo wines from southern Italy. Deliberately rich, warm and soft. Refined with a touch of aging in wooden barrels, which gives the wine additional spice. Very skilfully prepared.
