The Domaine Alain Voge is one of the top winemakers in the rather unknown AOP Saint-Péray.
The Saint-Péray blanc "Harmonie" from Alain Voge consists of 100% Marsanne grape variety, the vines have an average age of around 30 years. After the manual harvest, the must is fermented in concrete tanks, where it is then stored on the lees for a further 8 months before being bottled.
As the name Harmonie suggests, this white Rhône wine places great emphasis on perfect balance. It should have the juicy fullness of this type of wine, but also enough freshness to keep the drinking flow going. The winery considers the drinking period of 1-5 years after harvest to be ideal. The AOP Saint-Péray is located west of the city of Valence and still flies a little under the radar. Therefore, despite all the class, the wines are still relatively inexpensive.
