The Werther Windisch Riesling 8 degrees 14 minutes is the local Riesling of the estate, located above the estate wines and below the Riesling from the individual Schlossberg vineyard. Here the straightforward, crystal clear and mineral style of Jens Windisch's wines is combined with good pressure and depth from good vineyards around Mommenheim. The expansion of the 8 degrees 14 minutes takes place in stainless steel tanks and in traditional 600l half-barrels, the fermentation takes place spontaneously. After a long eight months on the yeast, it is then bottled.
The scent of the 8grad 14minuten Riesling 2021 is reminiscent of fine herbs and white fruits, with a light floral note. On the palate it is straightforward, precise and has good pressure. The long finish reveals a beautiful minerality and the usual coolness of the 2021 vintage. Vegan and certified organic.
