The Domaine de l'Enchantoir cultivates 17 hectares of vines in the AOC Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame on the Loire, which has only existed since 2008. Jean-Michel and Fabienne Brunet take over the estate in 2016 and focus on sustainable management and high-quality organic cultivation. The Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grape varieties play the first fiddle in the portfolio, of course, and there is also some Chardonnay, which is used exclusively for sparkling wine.
The Domaine quickly made a name for itself for high-quality wines. The Wine Enthusiast rates the 2019 Terres Blanches with a benevolent 92/100 points. Our tip for a characterful Loire Chenin Blanc at a fair price.
