The Arneis is the white trend variety of recent years in Piedmont, and its fans also call it "Barolo bianco" with full appreciation. Arneis is quite aromatic and has a creamy-smooth character, and the best results are generally obtained in the Roero area.
Marco Porello makes one of the best Roero Arneis ever, the wine is complex and dense without being heavy, it is always lively and keeps the tension right up to the long finale. He achieves the soft fullness of taste ccompletely without sugar! The Porello Arneis is bone dry and yet charming. That's fun!
The Gambero Rosso gave the 2020 vintage three glasses, the highest mark! Robert Parker gave the 2021 88/100, quote: "The Marco Porello 2021 Roero Arneis is very perfumed and pretty with white rose, jasmine, lemon blossom and summer peach. Drying mineral tones give the wine a good sense of focus and accessibility."
