The Réserve Merlot by Paul Mas is 100% matured in barriques, 70% in American and 30% in French oak. The grapes are harvested at night to keep them as cool as possible, which strengthens the fruity character of the wine. Even the dark purple color of the wine announces its power and depth, fine vanilla notes and ripe plums characterize the bouquet. On the palate, it is as typical as a Merlot can be: juicy, opulent, soft and endowed with a lingering finale. Very good!
