The Merlot Vignobles Paul Mas is a prime example of this vine. In its fruity bouquet there are aromas such as blackberries and plums, plus a little pepper and coffee. On the palate it is full and soft, again with dark berries and the characteristic soft aftertaste.
The wines of the Vignobles Paul Mas range are produced from vineyards of the Nicole estate near Pézenas and the Château Paul Mas in Conas. Michel Mas is responsible for the vinification and is supported by the Australian oenologist Richard Osborne, who mainly cares about the white wines.
