Bergerac is an eastern neighbor of Bordeaux and consists mostly of the same grape varieties as this one, for red and rosé wines, as in this case it is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. When it comes to value for money, Bergerac is a true treasure trove.
The dry Bergerac Rosé from Château les Fontenelles is produced using the so-called saignée process, in which part of the must is removed from the red wine shortly after pressing and fermented to rosé wine without the mash. This creates a fruity and medium-bodied rosé that impresses with its fruity nature and its very fair price.
