The Vina Sutil winery is located in Chile, more precisely in the Colchagua Valley, 150 km south of the Chilean capital. Juan Sutil has built up his successful winery here since the mid-1990s. In 2008 he was named "Businessman of the year" by the Chilean Chamber of Commerce. The wines are of great class at a very consumer-friendly price.
The best example of this is this excellent Chardonnay Grand Reserve. At Vina Sutil, a quarter of this ferments in barriques, which gives the wine a noticeable but well-integrated oak note. A style that is internationally appreciated in Chardonnay. This full-bodied white wine is intense and concentrated, it has fruity notes reminiscent of pears, peaches and pineapple, also acacia and a nice vanilla and toasted note. To keep the aromas fresh and clear, the grapes are harvested in the cool of the night. On the palate it shows an attractive fullness that ends in a long finish with smooth creaminess. Fits!
A really nice and inexpensive Chardonnay for many occasions, we particularly recommend it with dishes with cream sauces, crustaceans and fried or grilled fish.
