Red sparkling wines are still rather unusual, apart from Lambrusco. The Brachetto is an old red grape variety in Piedmont, which is traditionally used for liqueurs or frizzante. Since 2000, Cascina Fonda has been producing a sweet spumante with aromas of roses, raspberries, strawberries and cherries, as well as a lively mousseux. Due to its vital acidity, it optimally balances the sweetness and is fresh, fruity and simply a lot of fun in the glass.
