The Stoan Bianco from the Cantina Tramin is a white wine cuvée made from 65% Chardonnay, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 10 % Pinot Blanc and 5% Gewürztraminer grown at altitudes of 400 to 600 meters above sea level. Only the best grapes are good enough for the Stoan, the aging takes place with a lot of patience and on very traditional wines in large wooden barrels where the wine is stored on the yeast and then in the bottle for another 4 months, where the wine can calm down before it released for sale.
In 2021 there was a very elegant and profound Stoan that owes its freshness to the perfect autumn with its sunny days and cool nights. The small proportion of Gewürztraminer is clearly perceptible in the aroma and gives the wine its unique character. On the palate, the other varieties dominate, the 20% Sauvignon is noticeable. One of the best white wines in Italy!
Also important to mention: you don't have to drink the Stoan young at all. The winery states a life expectancy of 20 years. (Proper storage provided).
