Rully is one of the best and most famous AOCs on the Côte Chalonnaise. Because of its body, 50% of the white Rully Les Villeranges near Faiveley is stored in barriques, 10% of which are new. Nevertheless, the clear mineral notes come through beautifully in this wine, the wood supports the wine, but does not dominate it. The balance is its great strength anyway. It can be drunk young, but also matures excellently 5-6 years after harvest. A wonderful Chardonnay with the unique coolness of Burgundy.
