This dry Riesling selection grows in the steepest plot of the Koenen winery in the Minheimer Günterslay, which is harvested and bottled separately to underline the specialty of the grapes grown here. It is stored in large wooden barrels in the traditional way.
Christoph Koenen says about his wine: "Riesling in high resolution, puristic and with overwhelming beauty. This follows from the sum of many inspiring details. Here the vines protrude from our steepest vineyard. A wine as if carved out of stone - out of slate. Pure quality in pure design. This wine reflects the style of the slate slopes. Minerality, expressiveness, the dramatic and wild landscape with the typical Riesling aroma. "
