The 1000 Eimerberg is an extreme steep vineyard with up to 70% slope in the village of Spitz, which got its name to the annual yield (1000 buckets) of a good vintage. A bucket holds 56 liters. The Winery Gritsch owns plots with old Riesling vines here, which produce especially finesse and profound wines.
The vintage 2019 is fruity, the Gritsch Federspiel Riesling 1000 Eimerberg has citrus notes like orange in the bouquet, which suits perfectly to the lively character of the wine. A Wachau classic with an inspiring drinkability and a good maturing potential.
