The Marsannay Le Clos is owned solely by the Domaine Réné Bouvier. its eastern exposure and the stony marl soil are ideal for the cultivation of white wines, which are rather rare here in the north of the Côte d'Or. Due to the relatively large property of 3 ha, the ripe berries can be picked in different harvest runs, so that a consistently high quality and similar style can be achieved in practically every vintage.

It is fermented in 600L barrels, then the wine is aged in small barrels for 12 months and in the bottle for another 6 months until it is sold. Good things take time. Aromatically, the le Clos is reminiscent of pepper, acacia, pear, peach and a hint of truffle. On the palate it is rich in body yet fresh, with excellent structure and length.
