Château Calon Ségur, this is the famous Cru Classé from Saint Estephe in the Médoc, whose labels are decorated with a heart. Nevertheless, the wine naturally has a lot of substance and can be stored for at least 20 years. The winery gave Le Marquis de Calon Ségur seventeen months in barriques, of which around 30% were new. You need a lot of power and depth in the wine.
The standard at Calon Segur is so high these days that even the second wine is one of the very best wines in Saint-Estèphe.
