The Malvasia Nera grape variety is a natural crossing between Negroamaro and Malvasia Bianco Lunga. This late-ripening variety delivers rather small yields and was therefore a bit out of the spotlight. In terms of quality, however, it is interresting, delivers massive red wines with low acidity, which are becoming increasingly popular again.
The Contessa Marina Malvasia has a deep dark color and aromas like cherries and plums, it has a lot of body and a pleasantly round style, which is appreciated by lovers of southern Italian wines. It does not need any storage time and can be drunk young with a lot of enjoyment, but also can be cellared for a few years.
