Starting with the vintage 2017, there is a Grauburgunder/Pinot Gris Reserve in the range of the Salzl Seewinkelhof. Grapes from the vineyard Römerstein are fermented in oak barrels at 15 ° C for this wine. During almost one year of aging in small oak barrels, the yeast is stirred again and again to get a creamy and round taste.
The Grauburgunder Reserve has fully ripe fruit notes in the scent, oranges, a hint of honey, pear, vanilla and acacia blossoms. The taste is powerful and juicy, the long finale is accompanied by a beautiful oaky notes, it shows a creamy melt and a stunning freshness. A great new wine, very typical for the Salzl-style and an enrichment of the range.
