Benjamin Leroux's 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin comes from the Village Lage Seuvrées in the south of the AOC, planted with approximately 50-year-old vines, as well as la Justice and Jeune Rois in the north of the AOP Gevrey-Chambertin. 2022 was once again a very warm vintage that delivered not only excellent quality but also good quantity.

This red Burgundy has an open and engaging scent, the ripe fruit notes are refined with the finest barrique, Leroux chose a medium toast level. On the palate, the clarity and elegance delight on the one hand and the rich body with juicy fruit on the other. As always, a wine of great class, as you would expect from one of the most talented winemakers in Bourgogne. You have to hold back so as not to drink up this delicacy in its youthful fruiting phase, because it will certainly become even more subtle with further maturity. If you let him.
