Biscardo produces an appassimento from dried Sangiovese grapes grown in Emilia-Romagna called Enigma. The appassimento process is similar to Amarone production, the partially rosinated berries increases the concentration in the wine accordingly, you have a lot of everything. This creates a correspondingly intense red wine that shines more as a soloist, e.g. in front of the open fireplace, than as a meal companion. Ideal for everyone who loves the power in a wine, at the same time very attractively priced.
