The Châteauneuf-du-Pape les Sinards is made from the young vines of Chateau de Beaucastel and grapes from another vineyard. It is partly vinified with short mash heating like the Beaucastel, the other part is fermented traditionally. It is aged in large wooden barrels for a year.
The charming and crystal-clear 2021 vintage now appears beautifully magical, the Chateauneuf Les Sinards is concentrated and balanced, shows unusual power and dynamism, as well as an impressive length in the finale. The aroma includes red and black fruits, herbs and chocolate. A really great Chateauneuf-du-Pape, also very attractively priced. Impressive!
I liked this wine better than the Coudoulet from Beaucastel that I tasted afterwards. Frank Rembold
