Château les Fontenelles is located in the south-west of France, in the region of Perigord. In the year 1998, the Bourdil family decided to ferment, bottle and sell thier harvest under thier own label, before that the grapes had been handed over to the local cooperative. The 27 hectares of vineyards are divided into two different terroirs, the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grow on limestone-dominated soils, the red Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot and Cabernet Franc on the loam and pebbles .
The red Bergerac from Château les Fontenelles owes its rounded and fruity character to the high proportion of Merlot grapes. Qualitatively it is a really amazingfor this price. Fruity, juicy and with astonishing concentration. A lot of fun in the glass!
