The Volnay Vieilles Vignes by Joseph Voillot comes from the five plots Poisots, Gigottes, Serpents, Pasquiers and Lurets, whose vines were planted in 1930, 1946 and 1973.
The meticulous selection in the vineyard and in the cellar at the sorting table resulted in a beautiful Volnay that is a worthy representative of the magnificent 2022 vintage. It combines elegance, fruit and depth excellently, and has an enchanting scent of raspberries, blueberries, a delicate wood note and violets.
Its emphatically traditional style and the top vintage 2022, described as classically structured, give a nice bite, while the tannins are perfectly ripe and are buffered by the high extract. A graceful beauty, or rather a Volnay as it is in the book.
