The vines for the GSM from Langmeil come from the three vineyards Tanunda, Lyndoch and Vine Vale. “G” stands for Grenache, “S” for Syrah, and “M” for Mataro (= Mourvedre). Sometimes small amounts of Carignan and Counoise are also included. This vine composition, modeled on Châteauneuf-du-Pape, has become very popular in Australia in recent years as these vines produce first-class results in hot climates and provide a soft and spicy wine style. The vines for this wine are between 10 and 100 years old.

2021 was an excellent vintage in the Barossa Valley with very deep and balanced red wines, albeit with the smallest quantities for many years. The Three Gardens SMG has an intense aroma of black cherries and white pepper, opulent on the palate, soft tannins, rich and spicy, long finish.
