Thomas Hensel is known for his soft and charming wines. Here the Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) Hohenflug aged in oak barriques, with aromas of red berries and cherries, with vanilla and a hint of light tobacco. On the palate it is carried by soft tannins, a rather warm and velvety type of Pinot Noir with lots of fruit and substance. 2018 is one of the best Pinot Noir vintages of all time in Germany.
