The vines for the 1er Cru Les Haut-Jarrons belong to a close friend of Benjamin Leroux. The location is near the border with Beaune, where the best Savigny-les-Beaune wines come from. The wines are considered to be the most complex and long-lived red wines in Savigny. The vines grow here on similar deep sandy soil as in the excellent location of Beaune-Bressand.
2020 is a particularly good vintage with a more classic style than its two predecessors, despite the warm year. Unfortunately, the quantities were again very small. This 1er Cru has a lot of bite, extract and length.
