Located in the Maconnais, Saint-Véran is considered one of the best AOPs in southern Burgundy. Creamy and full-bodied white wines from the Chardonnay vine grow here on around 700 hectares, on limestone marl soil with a proportion of gravel. They are said to have aromas such as peach, pear, acacia and almonds, with increasing maturity they also tend towards nuts, cinnamon, butter and honey

The Domaine Daniel Pollier is considered a very good producer of Saint-Veran, they do not use wooden barrels for the aging of their wine in order to achieve a fruity style. In terms of quantity, 2020 was a small but fine vintage with elegant and extract-rich wines of excellent quality. This Saint-Véran has clarity, freshness and fullness, a southern Burgundy straight out of a picture book. Flavors such as liquorice, sweet pastries, dried fruits and some hazelnuts round off the harmonious taste picture.
