The Domaine Belleville is a fixture in the top league of the Côte Chalonnaise winegrowers in the south of Bourgogne. This is not surprising given that Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, one of Burgundy's top winemakers, is involved as a consultant. The wines are first-class across the board, have substance, density, just the right wood and great clarity in the aromas.

The full and intense Rully La Perche comes from our own vineyards. The name "La Perche" probably comes from a surface area that corresponded to one hundredth of an acre. 35% of the wine is aged in barriques for 12 months, the rest comes from steel tanks. This gives it a wonderful wood note that is in the best balance with the extract of the wine and the fruit. The Chardonnay vines are around 30 years old and grow on clay/limestone soils that offer ideal conditions for this noble grape variety.

2020 was a warm year, but it produced wines characterized by great finesse and very clear fruit. They look "cooler" or more classic than the two predecessors 2018 and 2019. They are of a similar high level.

The enchanting bouquet of the Rully la Perche 2020 is reminiscent of citrus fruits and white flowers, as well as the perfectly balanced barrique note and a hint of peach. Despite its fullness, it is fresh and clear on the palate, always perfectly balanced and with an impressive length in the finale. A great wine, so much elegance is rarely found in this AOC. One can enjoy drinking the la Perche young, but of course a few years in the dark cellar does no harm. It is and remains a matter of taste.
