For the Crianza,Altos R uses 100% Tempranillo grapes, the finest red wine variety of the Rioja. After 12 months of ageing in 80% French and 20% American barriques, it is bottled and allowed to rest for another 6 months in the bottle before it is sold.
Luminous ruby red color with slightly violet tint. The distinctly fruity notes show a clear yet perfectly integrated oaky smell, accompanied by cherries, dark berries, chocolate and tobacco notes, a complex and always exciting perfume. On the palate, we have a red wine of medium weight, very pleasant due to its silky soft tannins . An emphatically harmonious aftertaste completes it. Great value!
