Vigneti del Vulture from the region Basilicata, situated between Pulia and Campania, belongs to the house Farnese / Fantini. From old vines of the local grape varieties Aglianico, Greco and Fiano, modern wines with crystal clear stylistics and great freshness are produced here, often in very high vineyard locations around 800m above sea level. All the wines stand out for their excellent price-performance ratio.
The Piano del Cerro Aglianico is one of the premium red wines of Vigneti del Vulture by Farnese. Its great concentration and depth is derived from very old Aglianico vines from the area near Acerenza. For the taming of the wild and powerful Aglianico it is stored for 24 months in French barriques, which gives it a seductive vanilla aroma and polishes the tannins.
The result is a characterful piece of art that is ideally suited as an accompaniment to intensive stews.
