From Pinot Noir planted in the years 1926 and 1954 in the vineyards Belle Croix and Allots, Philippe Gavignet produces a Nuits-Saint Georges Vieilles Vignes (old vines), aged in barriques for 15-16 months, a quarter of which is renewed annually.
The old vines give only a low yield, but a wine with a particularly high concentration and depth, the aromatic complexity is very impressive for a Village Wine and would be more than ok for a 1er Cru. The silky tannins give the elegance to this wine. 2018 is one of the best Burgundy vintages ever. Juicy wines with storage potential.
