Siebeneich is a hillside vineyard in South Tyrol that is ideal for the Merlot grape variety because of its clay soil. The Merlot Siebeneich from Schreckbichl / Colterenzio is aged in barriques for twelve months.
The 2021 Merlot Siebeneich shows notes of ripe dark berries and chocolate, and the scent already makes a playful and concentrated impression. On the palate, in addition to its substance, it also shows the fresh fruit notes of the rather cool year 2021, which extends into the long finale. A beautiful and typical Merlot from South Tyrol that will develop positively in the bottle for a few years.
