This beautiful Pinot Noir grows in one of the best terroirs in Mercurey with vines that are 40 years old on average. It combines smoothness with structure and depth. You really have to look at the label to believe this is a southern Burgundy wine.
The 2018 vintage of the Belleville Mercurey Perrières is more intense and fuller than its predecessor, aromas such as black cherries, vanilla and light toasted notes can be found, relatively dark berries for a Burgundy. This continues on the palate, a lot of extract, the ripe tannins grab hold, but are always accompanied by the body, here everything is in balance and no component is exaggerated, as is usual in great years and experts in the vineyard and cellar. Really impressive, as always from Domaine Belleville.
