Mas des Tannes is the organic wine series by Paul Mas. The wines grow in Montagnac in the Languedoc, where once was the sheep farm of the monastery Valmagne. Jean-Claude Mas bought these vineyards in 2006, which the previous owner had already cultivated biodynamically. So it was natural to continue this cultivation and to expand the Paul Mas range with organic wines.
This wine is made with 45% Grenache Noir, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Mourvedre, aged without barrels to accentuate the fruity character of Languedoc wines. The Mas des Tannes rouge is round, soft and voluminous, an inexpensive organic red wine for nearly everybodies taste.
