Il Secondo, the second wine of the red Amistar, consists of the grape varieties Merlot, Lagrein and Cabernet. It is sold after one year of storage and ageing in wooden barrels and is a more round version of the Amistar, which also reaches its maturity earlier. Its aroma spectrum ranges from wild berries to cherries to spicy notes such as pepper and vanilla. On the palate, it has fine tannins that give structure to the fruit and grip in the final. This wine shows the sensitivity of its maker Stephan Sölva.
