The famous Hermitage hill on the northern Rhône is home to one of the world's best Syrah wines. The triumph of this vine is based on this origin, which has become a model for winemakers all over the world. Nicolas Perrin produces a small amount of Hermitage, which he matures in 30% new barriques.
The 2018 vintage is considered to be excellent, it combines strength, concentration and opulence, which does not make it aloof in its youth, but will also help it to a very long phase of maturity. Might become a legend.
