The Gewurztraminer Nussbaumer is the top product of this variety in the Cantina Tramin range. It grows in the best slopes of the area, where the cool fall winds from the mountains make a big temperature difference between day and night, which is ideal for the aroma of the grapes. By means of careful selection by hand, the best berries of the very late harvest Traminer are selected for this wine. The result is a minimum yield of 25 hectoliters per hectare, which makes this wine a rare specialty of high density and complexity. The wine is also carefully matured with pacience. It stores until August of the following year after harvest on the yeast in the tank. After the bottling, it is stored at least 4 more months in the bottle, before it is sold.
This wine has a spectacular fragrance. One can only deal with the bouquet for a minute, and always finds new nuances such as roses, exotic fruits, cinnamon, elderberry, melon, mano, lychee, citrus fruits, herbs, ginger and cloves. Its just as complex in the taste, this enormous abundance covers the palate, the aftertaste is of immense length, but at the same time also surprisingly subtle. A high-end Gewürztraminer, which tastes well young, but can also be stored for a long time.
