Thörle's Fruhburgunder comes from particularly good vineyards with calcareous soils in Saulheim. Low yields and an elaborate hand-picking are the guarantees for quality, and 2018 was an excellent red wine vintage with perfectly ripened and healthy grapes. After 10 months of aging in barriques, it is bottled unfiltered to keep it as natural as possible. The result is a powerful and complex Burgundy with a very elegant fragrance and ripe tannin structure that has little competition to fear in this price range. Stunning!
