Biscardo's Enigma is a Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna, made from grapes that are partially dried on the vine and very ripe grapes. The grapes are then dried again and then fermented. This appassimento process produces a very highly concentrated wine that is similar to an Amarone in terms of power and fullness. 30% is aged in oak barrels.
The Enigma Sangiovese from Biscardo / Mabis has a dark color, which already indicates the fullness and power of this wine. In the intense fragrance it has aromas of dark fruits and dried fruit. On the palate it is very full, lush, a really heavy red wine that fans love.
