An explosion of aromas of red fruits and ripe blueberries and oriental spices. This is how Farnese describes the Due Lune Cantina Cellaro on their website. That hits it very well, we have nothing to add here.
This powerful red is made from Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese, local Sicilian grape varieties that are lightly sun-dried on the cane so that they lose 15-20% of their water. This makes the remaining juice even more concentrated than it already is. After fermentation, the wine is aged in barriques for 12 months.
In the style of Farnese, the wine is massive, but on the other hand also very soft and supple.
