The Criots-Batard-Montrachet is a tiny Grand Cru with just 1.57 hectares, which usually does not even make up 10,000 bottles of total production per year. This makes this vineyard one of the smallest appellations in France. Fontaine Gagnard owns 33a here. The Criots is described as the most delicate of the five Montrachet Grand Crus, the wines are similar to the Bâtard-Montrachet, but usually appear a bit more mineral and "cooler" than this. A rarity!
