For the Chianti Superiore , Poggiotondo uses particularly good grapes, which are fermented with natural yeasts and then aged for 12 months in large traditional wooden barrels before the wine is bottled. 85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino are the grapes in the Chianti Superiore of Poggiotondo , grown on shell limestone in the western part of the Chianti area.
The Superiore Chianti shows an intense note of black cherries and a wild spice. At medium weight, balanced and savory on the palate, it is also fresh and lively. Organic wine. IT-Bio 004
